SmartChain Limited is hiring a Product Marketing & Growth Manager to launch and grow its priority products and services, generate qualified pipeline, improve customer acquisition and adoption, and strengthen the company’s market position.
The role combines two equally important priorities: product marketing and go-to-market (positioning, messaging, launches, sales enablement, customer adoption, and market insights) and demand generation and pipeline (integrated campaigns, lead generation, conversion, marketing attribution, and revenue contribution).
The role will also oversee SmartChain’s content, brand, social media, events, and marketing partnerships. You will work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Creative, and Delivery teams to connect customer needs, product capabilities, and commercial outcomes.
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable role. You will be responsible for measurable results across product launches, qualified pipeline, customer acquisition, product adoption, campaign performance, and brand growth.

- Initial Requirement: Prepare and execute a first-60-day action plan.
- Indicative Time Allocation: 35% Product Marketing & Go-to-Market; 35% Demand Generation & Pipeline; 15% Content, Brand & Social Media; 10% Events & Partnerships; 5% Analytics, Budget & Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Product Marketing and Go-to-Market
- Develop target-customer profiles, positioning, value propositions, messaging, use cases, and competitive narratives for priority products and services.
- Lead go-to-market planning for product, feature, integration, service-package, and market launches.
- Translate technical capabilities and consulting services into clear customer benefits and business outcomes.
- Coordinate launch readiness and use customer, competitor, sales, and market insights to improve positioning, adoption, customer experience, and product recommendations.
Demand Generation and Pipeline
- Plan and execute integrated campaigns across search, paid media, email, content, webinars, events, referrals, partnerships, and account-based channels.
- Build lead-generation and nurturing programs aligned with SmartChain’s target segments, sales process, and customer journey.
- Work with Sales to define qualification criteria, follow-up responsibilities, conversion processes, and CRM attribution.
- Improve lead quality, conversion, customer acquisition cost, campaign ROI, and progress toward agreed marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets.
Product Adoption and Customer Growth
- Develop lifecycle campaigns that improve onboarding, activation, engagement, feature adoption, retention, renewals, expansion, and subscription growth.
- Create demonstrations, webinars, customer stories, case studies, educational materials, and adoption communications.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to identify and resolve adoption barriers.
- Segment customers by needs, behaviour, lifecycle stage, and commercial potential, and track adoption, retention, service uptake, and expansion.
Content, Brand and Social Media
- Own SmartChain’s content and social media strategy, including editorial priorities, channel plans, messaging, publishing standards, and performance measurement.
- Manage SmartChain’s presence across priority social channels, allocating effort according to audience fit, commercial value, and performance.
- Maintain a content calendar aligned with launches, campaigns, events, customer needs, and business priorities.
- Develop priority messaging and coordinate content production while maintaining consistent brand, visual, and messaging standards across customer touchpoints.
Sales Enablement, Partnerships and Events
- Equip Sales with presentations, messaging, case studies, competitive guidance, objection-handling resources, and campaign follow-up materials.
- Maintain feedback loops between Marketing and Sales to improve lead quality, offers, messaging, and conversion.
- Identify broader partnership opportunities and own marketing, channel, media, referral, distribution, launch, and co-marketing partnerships.
- Plan and execute launches, webinars, customer sessions, and industry events tied to measurable pipeline, adoption, partnership, or brand objectives.
Analytics, Budget and Reporting
- Establish a measurement framework covering campaigns, channels, pipeline, acquisition, adoption, retention, and revenue contribution.
- Maintain accurate CRM attribution and marketing reporting with Sales and relevant business teams.
- Plan and manage approved campaign, advertising, content, and event budgets in line with company controls.
- Submit concise performance reports and redirect budget and effort toward the audiences, channels, and campaigns producing the strongest results.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Convert marketing plans into clear priorities, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and measurable outputs.
- Coordinate execution across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Creative, Delivery, and leadership teams.
- Participate in product-roadmap discussions, launch meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Align market demand with product and delivery readiness, escalate blockers promptly, and protect confidential company and customer information.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially minded product and growth marketer who combines strategic thinking, analytical judgment, creativity, and hands-on execution.

- Experience translating complex products or services into clear, compelling customer value.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect marketing activity to pipeline, adoption, and revenue.
- Confidence working with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Creative, and senior leadership.
- Strong writing, presentation, research, analysis, and project-management skills.
- Experience using customer, campaign, CRM, funnel, and product-usage data to improve performance.
- Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, manage budgets, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Sound judgment, initiative, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively without direct authority.
Experience and Qualifications
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in product marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, B2B technology marketing, SaaS, professional services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience launching products, services, features, or market initiatives.
- Evidence of generating qualified leads, pipeline, customer acquisition, product adoption, or measurable revenue contribution.
- Experience managing integrated campaigns across paid, owned, earned, partner, social, and event channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Technology, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Nigeria or comparable emerging markets is an advantage.
- An MBA or relevant certification is helpful but will not replace evidence of commercial impact and delivery.

- Budget efficiency, reporting accuracy, cross-functional execution, judgment, and follow-through.
First 60-Day Outcomes
- Assess SmartChain’s priority products, services, audiences, existing marketing channels, funnel performance, and growth opportunities.
- Establish positioning, messaging, target-customer profiles, and launch requirements for the first priority offering.
- Develop and begin executing an integrated go-to-market and demand-generation plan.
- Agree lead, pipeline, conversion, adoption, and attribution definitions with Sales and relevant business teams.
- Establish the content calendar, priority channel strategy, campaign requirements, and sales-enablement plan.
- Implement concise weekly reporting covering campaigns, pipeline, adoption, budget, risks, and required decisions.
- Present a practical roadmap for improving marketing-sourced pipeline, marketing-influenced revenue, product adoption, and campaign performance.
- Specific targets will be agreed during onboarding based on product readiness, available resources, approved budgets, and commercial priorities.
